I’ve always tried to arch as much as possible. But I learned bench press with a set-up of keeping my feet flat on the floor. And I had a problem of my butt coming off the bench on heavy lifts. So my trainer told me to put my feet back, and it made all the difference. I’m still always trying to make my arch more and more pronounced.
